MALDEN Animated - What could have been.
Posted by

Posting some animations that were originally done for when MALDEN was a animated short. You'll need Flash Plug-ins to view the first one (sorry iPhone/iPad folks).
This was the original opening, one I skipped when making MALDEN into a comic strip. Once I finish the current arc, I'll insert a comic prologue to match and also do some editing on some of the other strips (mainly strip 3-5 I'm not happy with).
Part of the fight scene. Originally, the bear was put out of comission way before the fight even starts, and was the reason for the fight starting.
ENJOY!

0015 - GRANDE BURRITO

A bit late, by about 2 hours Pacific Standard. I started out with a different layout, but ended up scrapping it for the current one.
You may notice that there's *gasp* COLOR in this, though only for the meat juice and the Platypus' eyes. I'm trying to make it a trend for the strip that certain things have color in this black and white world, if only to signify that this is important.
Much like how I approach the strip, things change, so this may or may not be the case in future strips. Heck I might even start doing FULL COLOR, if I can find the time to do so. Adding in grey shadows helped a bit.
